There was something I wanted to ask, what are your concerns regarding climate change due global warming with all the pollution and waste generation from motorsport, specially from Formulae One?

not sure about other series/categories of motorsport but I'd say F1 put quite a lot of effort on making the sport sustainable targeting net-zero 2030, and the highlight of their effort is the development of sustainable fuel with less fossil fuel.

while it's still not 100%, it might still be not enough now, I think F1 is on the right track when it comes to environmental concern.

plus, we'll get more electrical power, less combustion power, less fuel used, and F1-deveolped 100% sustainable fuel in 2026 with its new regulation

I would think the effects of the audience going to and from the event outweigh the event itself by an order of magnitude, at least.

What is your opinion about the 2026 regulation of reducing the car dimensions and weight?

Exactly, even if the event itself produces less pollution the amount of people taking flights and moving the vehicles from one country to another is not pollution or cost free.
Edit: and well, the parts that are constanly replaced I highly doubt they are recycled...

It's good that the cars will be smaller in 2026, hopefully they could make the cars as small as 2000s cars in the future, tho it's probably very hard if not impossible now ig

tho, whether 2026 regulation is going to produce better racing or not is different matter as they'll have new gimmick to replace DRS and some other factors that could make or break the racing + some drivers are not really a fan of that new car as of today

I came across some F1 related videos on my YT feed and now I'm curious. What does it mean to attack and defend in F1?

I mean, I dislike that tbh. Thats what Formula 2, 3 and 4 are for.

😒🫥

Also, I really want to see an electric or hydrogen championship for F1. 😄

in a nutshell: attack means overtaking the opponent, defend means preventing the opponent from overtaking the driver.
Both attack & defend happen on the corners because overtaking on straight line with DRS is inevitable & boring.

you can check these vids here for the details:

I'm bored, so... I post confirmed F1 reserve drivers for this season so far.

what do these guys do?
basically, these drivers will step in as substitute if the team's main driver(s) are unavailable to race due to illness, injuries, or suspension.
best example for this would be Oliver Bearman who replaced Carlos Sainz, who fell ill at Saudi GP 2024 for Ferrari & Kevin Magnussen, who was given 1-race ban at Azerbaijan GP in the same season for Haas.

here's the confirmed ones including their notable careers so far:

Mercedes:
  • Valtteri Bottas: Kick Sauber (2024), Alfa Romeo (22-23), Mercedes (17-21) (yup he's back to Mercy)

Aston Martin:
  • Felipe Drugovich: 2022 F2 Champion & AMR's reserve driver since 2022
  • Stoffel Vandoorne: Formula E & World Endurance Championship: Hypercar driver, won 2021-22 FE title with Mercedes FE team

Alpine:
  • Franco Colapinto: replaced Logan Sargeant on Williams mid-season of 2024, earned 5 pts. out of 9 races, 19th overall
  • Ryo Hirakawa: Super GT, Super Formula & WEC Hypercar driver, won 22 & 23 WEC titles with Toyota
  • Paul Aron: 3rd place overall on F2 2024 season

McLaren: Pato O'Ward
Ferrari: Antonio Giovinazzi & Arthur Leclerc (yes, Charles' lil bro)
Red Bull / Racing Bulls: Pepe Marti & Ayumu Iwasa
Haas: Pietro Fittipaldi
Williams: Luke Browning
Kick Sauber: Theo Pourchaire & Zane Maloney

*I'll edit this as the updates come in 😄
