why most manga have to ends after a confession, theres another manga that do a meta joke about it and turns out the manga still continue after the confession

I don't think most know what happens after that, other than a vague timeskip and possibly marriage. I think it's around this point most dating sims end, too. A healthy relationship is boring I guess.

There's an old timey term for it, The Moonlighting Effect, based off the show with the same name. The main characters spend seasons on the whole Will they/Won't they, and when they finally do, the ratings tank and the show gets.. axed pretty much.

Probably doesn't help one of the leads was an up and coming star by the name of Bruce Willis.
