so, from what I understand, the original timeline is:
they were friends in high school, got even closer during college, but due to some fuckery happened so Wen Ping's mom got framed, went to prison (I'm assuming Yan Shuangshuang's family did something, or Yan Anna did), they (WP and YS) had a fall out and then 1st chapter happened.
Yan Anna hasn't appeared yet I can tell she's gonna be an awful person.
anw, I'm curious to see how things will go from here, both of them having past lives knowledge (and neither know that fact) will surely fuck things up spectacularly!

I probably would never understand the mentality of the Chinese on adopted children. It's always like "my real child came back now so the adopted one will be treated like trash from now on". I mean, you have been treating them like normal person since forever but the real one came back so all that affection is out of the window.
