The panel on page 21 where they zoom in on the knife of the assassin definitely seems to me it's indicating she's the one that helped him, because of the dagger that killed Gain being the same. Why she would though, who knows.

But also did I miss something, or what's the actual indication this is the assassin maid from the start of the series? If it was her, I could definitely just see her having multiple motives (and not wanting him to die in this situation), but idk which part here's supposed to indicate this shadowy robed figure is her. I could just be forgetting something though, since it's been a while.

because she's part of an organization that work for the kingdom, and as the ex empire tries to mess with them, they could be targets, question is... why would she not kill Reito. It could be another assasin that just took the beast tamer as it was their directive and Reito lucked up because they didn't know how he looks or in the case of the maid, taking out the beast tamer was priority, specially since the shota vampire was strong af.

ps. reread earlier chapters, there's also the thing were Reito is assumed dead, so, he doesn't have a bounty too.

Reito ran into the forest and lived in the forest for a think 2ish years with goblin friend and wolf buddy.

The kingdom could assume that Reito is dead and seeing him now they might not even recognize him due to being older and actually strong.

I'm not sure I like that the goddess/angel is kinda keeping some secrets from the MC.

Gotta let him figure shit out and learn stuff on his own can't always tell him what will happen besides most likely anywhere he gets involved the future gets changed I'm sure
