I read a bit of the web novel, his mother is far from weak, she's actually a extremely skilled fighter in her own right, when she finds out that the king intended to assassinate him, she goes and teaches him a lesson, she's actually the legitimate queen if i remember right and strong enough to overthrow the king if he pisses her off too much as she has the backing of some of the most powerful people in the country.
Basically the king tried to get rid of the mc without the mom knowing, i don't know how the mom found out (i have a feeling the assassin maid might have switched sides but this is a guess) but when she did she went on a hell tear against him, i can't remember why i he's still in power, i think it's because it's more efficient in her search for the mc, but not sure.

So wait if the mother was this powerful does this mean that the Mc could have just went to his mother and the mother would have obliterated the maid?

if thats the case then why didn't the angel girl (i forgot her name) tell him?

also is the mother currently looking for her son? or does she think he is dead?

She was introduced right after he left the forest for the first time.

To add to this she was the Valkyrie lady that was also scared of bugs (they all were), her team tried to kill a giant worm thinking it was a monster and Mc stopped them as the worm was non hostile and very helpful.

So i only know some of the spoilers as when i read the wn long ago, well before any of what deadrabbits spoiled happened, so i can only spoil that part.

From my understanding even if the mother was a skilled fighter, the angel girl wouldn't have had time to tell him before the assassin was given orders to kill him, not only that the mc does know i believe that his mother has fighting skills, just not to the level she does add onto the fact that while the mother is strong, a assassin is still a assassin thus a master of "back attacks" if you will the mc probably would have still fled as there's no guarantee his mother would survive the encounter either.
Or it's just a plothole, who knows lol.
As for does the mother know he's alive, as far as i know she believes he is and is looking for him, she's a doting mother after all .
The woman who appeared in this chapter is a relative of his mother so she might have sent her a message about it too, like i said i read this years ago before more story elements came out.

I am not challenging her capabilities, but rather the fact that she( can't be the guild master elf we are seeing because she had(or chose if you prefer it that way) to stay with the MC in a mansion situated in a very remote area for years, a guildmaster would have long lost her position in such an event. Plus neither the MC nor his mother have any elf characteristics.

I fsr always thought the mother was kinda weak and sickly but that itself might be because of the manga not portraying the mother right.

In the manga the mother was rarely seen and Mc spent most of his time with the maid while when we do see the mom she’s usually doing nothing of note. (Then again it could also be unreliable narrator thing).

She later attacks MC again but was defeated and killed by him. As she laid dying, she thanked him and MC saw that she had a peaceful expression despite dying. He also found that she kept a bottle on her body, it was the birthday present she gave him when he was younger and left behind when he escaped. Although not confirmed, but its implied that she cared for him.

This. It'd be different if the omniscient presence was like a neutral narrator or had some type of antagonistic personality. Instead we have a character who knows everything about everyone and has the specific goal of giving the MC as peaceful a life as possible, but doesn't tell him crucial information relating to his own life because... reasons. She pretty much just spouts exposition for stuff as it's happening. The author would frankly be better served limiting her scope instead of multiple times reminding us that she knows not only everything in the past and present, but even the futures of people so long as the MC doesn't interfere with them too much. There isn't much reason for her to say "your mom is fine" instead of give the entire low down on his family's history and their future. She hasn't even given a weak reason like that that'd be boring (she only doesn't give off the type of personality of someone who likes things to be uncertain).
