I like the moments between her and candy guy, she seems to really like him. Fujiwara had so so many chances, and he barely seems to care about his friend’s wishes or Hitsuji’s.

I find it so funny but also heartbreaking how the majority of people here (myself included) are rooting for Shirotaki but we all know how this is gonna end up. 😪

lol i find it funny that the majority is cheering for the 2nd lead but as a boyfriend he's kinda problematic. Like, who's ok with a guy who's so possessive he won't let his gf high five her friends or even go as far as to mark her so that other knows she's "His" Any relationship like that isn't a real relationship. He is just trying to force something that doesn't actually exist. He's kinda selfish... not saying that the main lead isn't a problem also though. But i really dislike men who are excessively possessive. >.<

I can't do this anymore. It started out so cute, but then it just drops into all this unnecessary suffering... Especially after the trauma of forcing myself to finish ao haru ride, I really can't do plots like this anymore. I have nothing against a good bit of heartache before we get that sweet, sweet fluff of the characters being together, but when it's done like this... it just feels forced. I also really dislike the idea of needing another person just to get over your own feelings. That's not healthy.
Anyway, I'm dropping it, but to anyone still reading, I commend you! And if you don't feel you need commended, then just enjoy guilt-free.

I too feel the secondary lead makes a somewhat creepy boyfriend. Not a terrible boyfriend, but definitely on the controlling side.
But it's utterly clear that, bottom line, she just isn't that into him compared to how into the lead she is. Her hormones respond to the secondary guy at a sort of sparkler level, just generic "He's a handsome guy", to the male lead at full fireworks show level. No matter what a moron he is, this is not ultimately something that can be overcome.

I do agree, however that Shirotaki is also not the perfect guy here. He's started off well but now he's slowly skirting the line of being too possessive and controlling. Not sure if it's like that because it's his 'personality' or because the author is trying to make him end up being the 'worse guy' in the end like the 2nd male lead from Ao Haru Ride (him, on the other hand I didn't like from the start lol). In the end, I'm kind of starting to think I don't like anyone and don't want anyone to end up with anyone lmao.

But yeh, she will end up with Fujiwara because this is a typical shoujo and he's the titular guy here after all. Ugh. /o/
