Chapter 1 for the long awaited next series of the 100 Ghost Stories Author is out, and it's weekly this time!

Seems like the author is personally trying to craft their own yokai along with introducing us to a bunch of already existing yokai from Japan, which could turn out fun to read. Even with the complete genre shift (for the most part), the urban legends can be more than horror that's looking for a punchline to end the chapter with and can develop over time. I'll definitely be looking forward to where this one goes. Chapter itself was actually pretty damn funny too in my opinion.

edit: Oh no, the last line was one of my favorites, and it doesn't come across the same here....

The way I interpreted it, the students were commenting "even though we let go, he's not going home" and then they go "maybe that's what kind of youkai he is?" Very funny and cute. Maybe if you could edit that to fix it? Sorry for a nitpick, I'd DM it to you if Mangadex allowed DMs anymore.
