I understand that in Japanese, they usually refer to each other by name instead of using third person pronouns and thus the dialogue doesn't really translate well into english, but is that actually the case here or did the translators just fuck up? Or is the author trying to portray it in a more realistic manner? Why does the sister tolerate being called a brother? It's sincerely confusing.

probably cause its... japan, although lgbtq concept is widely known and accept, theres still a big part that doest know or just dont have any info about it. japan is very conservative after all
