My comment was more on "Why the wuxia trash gets equally high rating". Reasons : preferences. The guys who rate those liked that about as much as you like this. Also whether this or wuxia-trash is better is ultimately a pointless argument because
1. Better than wuxia-trash is not an achievement
2. both are very likely overrated by at least 3 stars
Can you honestly say that's a purely objective review based on the quality of storytelling? Can you honestly say your personal preferences don't play any role in your ratings?

All critics and all reviews come down to personal preference there is no such thing as a objective review. Also wuxia shit isn’t good it’s extremely copy/paste while this isn’t entirely unique it presents a ineteresting art style and sticks to core principles like crazy hero crazy villains and that doesn’t change unlike in wuxia and also wuxia has a much bigger market so ratings are so good. There’s only a couple good wuxia mangas or whatever u call them mostly it’s very generic and lifeless, u really can’t call this lifeless

So why are you guys complaining about wuxia having high ratings? Its their opinion. Having a bigger market also meant that LOTS OF PEOPLE have the same opinion. If you really hate it that much, go make a ton of accounts and hammer that 1 star rating button or something. Also while objective reviews are generally impossible to do, it is at least attemptable by ignoring lots of personal bias such as saying that this has an "interesting art style". Seriously? What even is an interesting art style? Maybe if someone does a manga entirely in Mozaic or something.
One way to rate things "objectively" is to rate this according to the ratings of other vengeance-like stories like the sage lich, Arifureta. (Both of which lost the vengeance plot real quick) or even Tales of Berseria. At least that way you would be comparing apples to apples. Imagine if someone said chocolate sucks because its not sour enough.
Also I never called this lifeless (lacking excitement). I said the plot is paper thin. In this 28 chapters, we went through at least 4 arcs of the exact same thing with no character development or anything whatsoever. All the "not victims" seem to be equally evil and moronic while those that aren't are victims. Its like reading four identical one shot manga. There is nothing in this manga except vengeance which is already becoming too repetitive after four arcs.

Side note:Arifureta isn’t that type of mange the main guy doesn’t give a shit about revenge he just wants to go back home.
In my opinion that’s isn’t how u should review stuff. It’s like if you took godfather trilogy , goodfellas, casino and compared them. On the surface level they all follow a very similar story and have very similar themes like the mafia but their tones are completely different like this is a just edgy gory kill everybody I don’t give a shit about anything manga while others focus on characters and world building.
What I meant by ineteresting style is that it has distinct characters with unique styles that make them pop a bit and also it’s gory in terms of the blood and the deaths for better or worse. It’s a good thing that after the initial changes to the hero to make him a killer there is no character devolpment. There doesn’t need to be character devolpment most people are mostly watching for the constant gore, eechiness, and like edginess. If u tried to have character devolpment you would have to take time away from all these things and would make it way more boring. You need to relate to the main guy who is already somewhat hard to relate to already so a simple way to do so is to make the villains cartoonishly evil and then have major villains and smaller villains that main guy defeats only to keep making the other villains more evil so it’s satisfying to see them die gory deaths. It’s just interesting to see how the hero kills every villain which from what I remember is unique and different if I’m not confusing mangas. So that’s why it’s way better than wuxia shit also I’m gonna mention I don’t think it’s good in any way but it deserves 7 because it’s enjoyable like turn your brain off and enjoy the main guy being an asshole. That’s why some fast and furious movies are rated much higher than incredible movies. Sorry for spelling mistakes I typed this pretty fast

You are absolutely right in that this is a turn your brain off and enjoy the assholery manga that has literally nothing besides vengeance. The wuxia shit is also the turn your brain off manga as well (and again, there is the whole preference thing going on despite me hating wuxia with an overflowing passion)
Its also why Fast and Furious gets high ratings and honestly speaking, I find all three equally overrated garbage that caters to specific people. Wuxia is shittier to you, I understand. This is an example of great adaptation from Ln bcause there is no bullshit such as friendship power or talk no jutsu shit..just a pure revenge...Im so sick of cringe mc who forgives his/her enemy just bcause it is the right thing to do..I love this mc in this manga bcause he didnt hesitated to kill a person..

Honestly, I hope this series ends soon. There’s seemingly nowhere else to take this story. It was quite dragged out enough with the whole “who’s the next person I need to get revenge on from my past” plot lines. I do just want the MC(who’s probably my favorite for how insane and self-centered he is) to just end with him watching the world burn.

NGL kinda hoping the knight turns coat here and joins MC: aside from being a zealot to the princess. I can't remember nor am I going to reread this piece of art to see if she was like the others who committed atrocities for their own personal pleasures on top of being followers to the crown. However; if author is going full scorched earth, then so be it.

Didn’t realize that the author is the same guy who made the daddy fantasy manga he/she even made a shoujo isekai series.
What an interesting author he/she can definitely write heart warming and romantic stories but then author just made this. Looking forward what comes up next for the author.
