Unfortunately they ARE Ning Xi's biological parents and they are idiots who wants only money and respect and didn't think about family.

1) Somewhere in the middle of story Ning Xi cut ties with them and Ning family and said that on camera.
2) At the end of the story they will know Xueluo's true character and that she framed Ning Xi, but Ning Xi didn't pardon them.

I mean, for all that the parents are shitty ... the way they find out about Xueluo's true self was pretty awful. Not that NingXi should forgive them, but oof.
On the plus side
The mom gets pregnant with a son and Xueluo thinks they're going to give everything (inheritance) to the son so she arranges a car accident and, let's just say the son never gets born. They find out just how much they've really failed their children etc, and they willingly throwing away their pride and family reputation to try to stop Xueluo.

NingXi's maternal grandparents, uncle, cousin rekindle relationships. They're great
