I have seen a lot of other action series that tackle the vulnerability of the main character. They mostly try to corrupt the MC by hurting their loved ones or making them fight against them.
But here, Edward was fighting Envy and the vulnerability isn't about him fighting his loved ones, but instead complete strangers that Envy embodies.
And for Edward's character, I can relate and reason why he wouldn't lift a hand to fight against those.
I am honestly, amazed by this level of writing!
