As someone who has read a lot of and enjoys drama mangas, i rate this as an 8/ 10 , definitely worth a read. It has a great plot.
To me for a book to be good, it needs at least one of these 3 elements:
1. Great characters and/ or
2. Great world building and/ or
3. Great plot.
This book is not a wish fulfillment story, so anyone who doesn't like the ending should just watch isekai smartphone or kiss x sis.
Spoilers ahead!
Positives:
This book manages to stir my emotions without bringing up NTR (doesn't count because the girl the MC crushes on doesn't even like him.)
The author didn't use cliches like amnesia, too much forced coincidences, etc.
Because the hero is a good guy and not the average Joe, he catches the heroine's heart and got into this mess (there's a causal relationship,)
I like this four sided love relationship they got going on.
The characters aren't just 1 dimensional like Mary Sue, not everything works out the way they want them too and they have conflicting traits.
For example:
The kind MC causes the whole trouble in the first place because the friends don't want to hurt his feelings. His kindness doesn't always get reciprocated and his crush never loves him back unlike other copy and paste stories.
The best friend is good to the MC, but also is mean to other people, etc.
The side characters interact with each other like they're the main character of their own life.
For me, it's a good ending. it completes all the character arcs. Sure, the author could have spent more time on it and make it a couple chapters longer, but it's already without any "Out of Nowhere" Twists and brings closure to the story. What more do you want? It made me feel something and a lot has changed compared to the beginning of the book.
Negatives:
The world building lacks a bit of flavor, it's just your typical run of the mill japanese high school.
Some characters would just appear for a couple chapters and then disappear or they're not really necessary for the plot.
Conclusion:
Definitely worth your time.
