Isn't it obviously implied the painting's are the same if you show two pictures of the sane looking painting? Am I missing something or is that a stupid 'gotcha'?

Feels like the story is getting a bit too convoluted. I mean, it's still better than most of the stuff out there, but I'm starting to feel a bit disappointed. I wish there was a bit more of character development or interpersonal stuff of the already established cast rather than introducing another thread into the mystery with this Suzuki fellow. I wonder how much of the plot was already established as the mangaka started writing this really, or if stuff is just made up on the fly.

Cause the painting in question here is a forgery.

So this Suzuki here might be just buy the painting(forgery A), while the one in the crime scene from back then might be another painting from somewhere else(forgery B). But here he admit it himself that the painting he bought is the same one from the crime scene
