Just binged this since I'm reading Spica to Batsu. This series is so interesting with an unusually fast pace compared to much of the detective genre. Maybe a little too fast, it feels rushed sometimes.
Great characters, the love interest is not only relevant but useful and interesting. The mc cop ends up having more depth than expected, but the bald guy is amazingly charismatic.
But some things keep me from calling this a masterpiece. The beginning chapters were setting up all these cool side characters/ suspects clashing with the lawful characters but they get their stories resolved pretty quickly. Also, everyone's traumatized but seem to shrug off some really brutal deaths. I feel like it's getting away from the horror of abuse and murder in favor of more mystery which is cool in it's own way.
Still worth reading!
