The fastest way to increase food supplies would probably be to teach them how to hunt and gather form the surrounding lands. A skill I bet isn't common in a large city.
Fishing maybe, hunting might be a no no since they could be labelled poachers but that depending on the local lord tho.

Also "fun" fact related to famines i learned not too long ago, in Europe during the medieval era in certain places certain tree nuts were protected by law due to the nuts ease of conservation, lords would release the stocks in case of famine or bad harvest.

It is lucky for them to be noble or rich people. Don't need to worry about food, clothes, places, and many basic life needs.

What? Poor and common people are very free and can do anything they want. Whoever says this, I don't think they know how much is needed just to be at the starting line of the Noble and Rich people.

Poor and common people just want to make their lives easier, but the noble and rich just want to make their lives better.

'Don't mind the sniggering nobles, we'll let the famine deal with their territories and usurp their authority with our science' if the mc was more spiteful and less inquisitive

Goodness, I wonder what the low-cost solution will be this time? Some form of fermentation perhaps? :lul:

I bet the nobles are hoarding because of the famine which is increasing food scarcity among the general populous. I also guessing that the noble children that were heckling them at the school are going to trash the composting experiment at which point the princess may make herself known.

I'm guessing the sniggering noble kids are somehow behind the supplies being reduced
Unless it's a translating error, it sounds like Merchant Girl said that fewer aid supplies were purchased this year. So it may be embezzlement, or problems with the economy.

Thanks for translating!

Everything seems to go well in PowerFantasy Kingdom: MC has issue, got resolved immediately, by friend or his own wits.

Drawing is nice, I like it

Author went for the pantheon grab-bag approach to naming I see. Looking forward to a kid named Tezcatlipoca joining the class.

There’s definitely some embezzlement or hoarding going on, and those noble kids probably have something to do with it. Can’t wait to see how Ash resolves the food crisis.

Also, as a note to the translator, could you please reduce the size of the text in the bubbles? Right now they’re crowding each other out, and making the pages hard to read. Thank you for the translation!

aw I thought the text would be easier to read if it took up most of the bubble space; sure I'll try making the text smaller, and I won't have to spend as much time adding hyphens or adjusting the font sizes for each bubble
