"sorry, but this is where I crush your hopes and dreams: we will start laying the groundworks, but we will never see the results in our lives"
You can't jumpstart metallurgy and toolmaking technology, no matter what dr. Stone may try to make you believe: you really have to actually do all the middle steps...
Yeah, it’ll be interesting to see how they tackle this.

People don’t get how much knowledge we’ve lost from from just middle of the last century, and how much knowledge today is gated behind corporate ownership. Like, no one country can now build the presses that can shape a large sheet of metal for aircraft fuselage. Boeing and Airbus both had to rely on presses that were over fifty years old, and an effort to make a similar press took parts from some twenty countries. Why?! We’ve painted ourselves into a corner by optimising for economic efficiency.

We STILL don't have the aerodynamic shit pinned down: we just have the basics to make an informed guess, and then rely on computers to refine the shapes through finite elements simulations and thousands of trial-and-error.
There isn't a single rocket company that didn't fail their first launch.

In reality they would have gotten everything perfect for the show while practicing but as soon as it was time for the exhibition there would be a strong gust of wind that knocks it upside down and breaks it
