It's really fun to see Mr. Fushigi n. Shounen getting so pissy about this boy for being too "incorruptible".
I agree though, I think the boy's views are naïve. Maybe I would get pissy too if I was a super cynical jobless deity who fucks around for all of eternity and I ran into someone who looks exactly like me, talking like that. Maybe he's getting cringe-flashbacks to his own youth. If he was ever young.
