I've seen "female characters that've had their sexual advances rejected continually throw themselves at the male character who rejected them as a way to restore their wounded pride" be a fairly common plot point/device/joke in jp media. Her commenting on her own attractiveness and how his rejections are harsh/mean seems to support the likehood of it being along those lines.
It's too bad that said formatting is the worst if any punishment these two dumbasses will get if any. Honestly, they deserve to have their stupid club closed, and it's a shame that I highly doubt this author has the stones to do that.
