Nirushi, a side character, has experienced character growth. I like that this man said she's innocent and she shouldn't feel guilty over a title that few even know she's holding.

What's interesting now is that Lerunda has two villages worth of beastkin and elves journeying together with her to find that promised land where they can all live in peace. They're going to be the core of a future new country of coexisting peoples and wherever they settle down to place that tree will become the capital. If it follows a pattern, maybe they're gonna end up helping a village of humans next, but I'll be happy with even just Lerunda and Lan representing humans.

I hope she never has to deal with human slavers or her old family ever again, but I know for sure they'll be back to cause trouble.
