My guess that Yuuya mains either Kirby or Ness (based on Chapter 29 where he plays against his "in-laws") while Rio mains either Pikachu or Kirby since her attitude on the game implies that she mains high tier characters and Pikachu and Kirby are ranked the highest in the tier listings of Smash 64. More than likely, Yuuya mains Ness and Rio mains Pikachu.
