Top notch as always. The author is really-really-really skilled in showing the atmosphere of the scene, portraying An's emotion without internal monologue, and moving forward the scenario without being shackled by tropes, or too forceful.
The reason An doesn't do her homework in the library is because the teacher brought the class up. Which is still within believable scenario. Remember, this is the PE teacher who also took the picture when An came to the athletic competition to support Shunpei. So, he knows how tight the children are, and he knows that the class still regard An as their friend.
The scene when An sees Shunpei's postcard? CUTE!! (aggressively) What people say about it? You only notice what you search? So it's not she noticed, rather she actively searched for Shunpei's work.
With classroom scene, the usual trope is to sit on your crush's seat, but An doesn't know Shunpei's seat, and the author also doesn't make An to wonder where is Shunpei's seat. An just sit, and that's it. However, then comes the shouting from baseball club activity. An doesn't move to the window to see the training, she just turn her head, hiding her face from the reader.
So, there's a comfortable distance between her and Shunpei, like expression of silent do your best, and also distance between An with the reader. We can't see An's expression, nor there is a monologue, so there's a sense of melancholy. The author has shown An smiling at Shunpei's postcard, so she can do it again for the classroom scene, An smiling while looking at Shunpei while he's training, but she didn't.
It's also quite nice feeling that, because the characters has been shown to take action, even if Shunpei's attempt to invite An is hindered by his classmates today, we believe that he'll try again next time. Or it's Luluca's scheme again.
Even without flirting, this series has so much sugar.
