another axe???!!!

Jesus, how the fck you can get axed while same sheit like Nis*koi and Kan*kari can prosper?

Does anyone know what publisher or magazine Onio-sensei worked for? Is the competition harsh or what?

poor onio -n-
for some reason all his works start up really well but end up axed early on before flaws can even show up
I can't imagine its solely the works fault, I wonder if its just a bad magazine or messy management

Shame that it was axed, I was really enjoying this one.

Felt like the perfect mix of romance, comedy and comfyness plus the art is as usual really good too.

Man, why the F didn't they let him finish? By this rate, she almost figured out her feelings so within 1 volume it would have been a wrap. Man this sucks. Onio is a rom-com genius that gets shafted way to often.

@KazumaLee94 I can never imagine Onio having a 10 volume run with any of his works, since like you said, "boy and girl bounce feeling" are very common and if they drag out just a bit to much, it gets boring extremely fast. I honestly just wish that he would have gotten that last volume to wrap things up, since he is extremely good at that even if his works get axed.

man this guy is cursed.

It's a damn shame, because his art is a sight more expressive than many of the other people working in this space, and it's not like this genre is (or has ever been) unpopular.

I feel like it has to be some problem with the magazine he works for or management or something. I hope he can start a new one soon.

Seriously, axing something so sweet should be illegal! :/ I know this kind of rom-com isn't particularly unique or anything, but both the use of the tropes and the art make this author's stories stand out as so much more enjoyable than many others, and I don't think I ever found any of his characters annoying or unnecessary, which is pretty impressive... As others have said, a shame, really. Let's hope the best for his next work!

At this point i don't understand why he's still going with the current publisher when they keeping axing his work?

Rip imouto (Did she ever make an appearance?) and Onio for 3rd consecutive axes.
Clearly the formula that he is going for didn't click with Japanese audience because changing publishers are not the key.
Maybe try for isekai manga adaptation? Though his artwork is unique if Gun Ota can do it I'm sure he can too.
