She finally was in a chapter again and spent the whole time talking about how she should spend less time with the MC? That was bad enough without the ex showing up as well. The ex really gives off a troubling meddlesome vibe and her referring to Gen as a “not-so-nice fated connection“ doesn’t bode well. Poor Gen is going to have the only three people he knows talking behind his back.

Yeah I was kinda surprised by that too because Gen doesn’t hang out with him socially and his ex was someone Gen got together with after high school so they shouldn’t be a mutual acquaintance right?

Behold the camping-industrial complex. Shizuka's solution to become more prepared is to buy stuff. Not that certain products aren't useful, but it's not the same as "being prepared." Knowing how to be comfortable and safe when camping is also about pushing the limits of what you don't need. Knowing you don't need them is the comfort of experience.

To be fair gaining that experience usually means bringing a bunch of stuff camping, then realizing you barely used it and probably don't need to bring it along the next time.

Where Shizuka is concerned, the more time passes, the thicker things become. That's just how God made us!

I binged this series, in an earlier chap about his backstory with Kana, it was mentioned that the 3 of them did hang out together a lot. Kana ran into them when she was working as a waitress at an Izakaya (I think), called out to Gen but Gen didn't recognize her, Akihito did. The 3 of them were classmates.
