This reminds me of a convention I've seen many JP stories following: "Killing is wrong!" the author (sometimes hamfistedly) says, but it's acceptable if the victim is virtuous, innocent, or ugly/monstrous. The vast majority of these authors will bend over backwards to not only save even the most vicious from their just deserts, but find ways to praise them as well.

It makes sense: we now live in an era in which heroes are "boring" and people are instead interested in villains.

That was the most brutal death in the manga so far, Jesus Christ lmaooo, man...sad, and it felt a little rushed, the author could have done a little more, but it wasn't a bad ending honestly, and the point that it repeats is actually a strong point.
