Should not have used MMO as the medium, wasted a lot of pages on unnecessary exposition that isn't core to the story + seems like author has a poor understanding of Mmorpg.

ppl do get absorbed into games but i guess it's nice he also got a warning that some kinda midboss? would show up after defeating a certain amount of creatures (tho hopefully he wouldn't be attacked in the middle of town versus going into the field)
(tho i'd expect there to be some kinda game/appeal where it's more animal taming focused and not rly 'combat' like slime rancher? or something)

Only way I can forgive such drama in a game is that they are in an RP server and they really like to get immersed in the game.

Cause them actually taking this seriously would be so dumb.

Inb4 it being a 4d chess move by the headset /vr companies to artificially inject emotional attachment into their products so ppl get easily sucked in (metaphorically) and addicted to their game/system

LOL it'd be interesting if the author did wanna do a more 'serious' story but got rejected b/c the editors/publishers wanted 'fluff' so they hid some 'epic' designs in this too (i know there are similar mechanics tho interesting to come across it in a vr kinda thing but idk how many ppl can afford an at home system [covid aside, and watching let's players, I'm surprised arcades wouldn't make a comeback just for like Vr rentals or so; i can't imagine some mom/dad paying like 500+ for some complicated vr system for like an 11 year old who begs for it that might get sick of it a year from now])
