yea... i have no idea what to think anymore
think about it this way, Shiori went out of her way to express how she really felt no matter the outcome. as much as i love Akari? her mettle to get what she loved just wasnt on the same level. she never said what she felt. so honestly, as much as i lover akari, Shiori is more deserving for his love. but if akari can turn it around there is hope.

It's true that shiori has done the most so far to win over jirou, I never rooted for shiori but the author made Akari shoot herself in the foot so many times after the summer arc that idk if she deserves it, I said so a few chapters before, Akari please, say you love him already, not just in your head please

I think it's more than Shiori was rather slow at first, but she's accelerated. Akari, on the other hand, started out at a decent pace, but slowed down. Akari has also been more bipolar about it, both being aggressive and evasive about it. On the whole, they're fairly equal.

They're all just a slight bit on the not getting on with it side, though. Just a slight.

And again, Yakuin does not take a decision by himself and let others do it for him.
It's really one of the worst written characters in romcom mangas.
