To my understanding, there's three types of seasonal cycles, making for 9 seasons in total.
1. Spring 》Summer 》Autumn 》Winter
The norm in most of the world.
2. Wet 》Dry
Dominant in climates near the equator. Normal for regions like Savannas or Veldts.
*Also applies to tropical rainforests, where the wet season means water level rises, and the dry season means the water level drops.
3. Night 》Day
You're probably thinking 'uh, what?', but near the poles, the planet's axial tilt and its axial procession puts regions in extreme night or day. Imagine the sun never setting or never rising for months on end.
