I find it amusing that after months, I just picked this latest chapter to read on a whim, and can just go, yeah, that's Satania alright, maybe mature a bit but please never change. Time for a re-read.

No problem, luckily GD is a light comedy manga, so we can all calmly discuss the translation or the story itself without expecting any shocking twists (like if Vigne was an adopted angel child all this time, lmao) or finding out that some translation error radically changes the entire plot of the manga so far.

Gotta admit, Vigne being an adopted angel child would explain her personality a lot, but we've seen her with devil wings and tail, so highly unlikely to happen as you noted.

Satanya might have been dropped on her head a few times as a baby, would explain a lot.
