It certainly does, but as a nickname, and with a っ子, which already means child explicit and all, I would rather just TL the katakana as is. I thought of using Loli senpai or Loliko but I feel it misses the point a bit.

Lol, what an unexpected New Year's gift. There were no new chapters for two months, so I even started to forget that this is still ongoing due to the end of the spin-off about Tapris. Getting back to the topic of the chapter, I miss those times when winter was really cold and I could understand Tap-chan. In my region, winters are now so warm that a couple of days with snow and frost for the whole year is already happiness.

I feel like Loli-senpai would have worked, but I understand your point. I wonder if the author might just have replaced the woman part in 女子 with loli.

This chapter reminded me a fair bit of the New Year's episode of the 2005 schoolgirl-turned-Shinto-goddess (but also still a schoolgirl) anime Kamichu! which had a very similar premise except that Yurie (the newly-ascended goddess girl) wanted to snooze under a warm kotatsu table all day instead of in bed.
