It certainly does, but as a nickname, and with a っ子, which already means child explicit and all, I would rather just TL the katakana as is. I thought of using Loli senpai or Loliko but I feel it misses the point a bit.

I think Loli senpai gets the point across. Calling her Roriko just confuses the readers that don’t know Katakana or that Japanese doesn’t have L’s.

Gone unmentioned is Gab going out alone (without being prompted by anyone else) during new year’s holiday to visit (somewhat crowded) stalls instead of playing her usual video game which is quite significant.

I'm betting one or more of her games has some kind of limited event where you have to have your phone at an actual shrine to take part. That would lure her out.

This chapter reminded me a fair bit of the New Year's episode of the 2005 schoolgirl-turned-Shinto-goddess (but also still a schoolgirl) anime Kamichu! which had a very similar premise except that Yurie (the newly-ascended goddess girl) wanted to snooze under a warm kotatsu table all day instead of in bed.

I remember her rolling up the newspaper to try to change channels on the TV. Since Kamichu's set in the 80s and very few TVs had remote controls back then, she needed to turn the actual knob on the front of the TV.
