The situation is a bit outlandish for comic effect but frankly, what would you do in this situation as a parent? Lily has a teenage crush on an older boy (very common). The older boy is kind and respectful, is the older brother of one of her friends, looks after her and has never done anything inappropriate. I'm not entirely sure that objecting to Lily wanting to spend time with Renji would be anything other than weirdly controlling. Worrying about a future relationship feels a little premature, and once she's an adult what can you even do? At the very least, no one is getting with anyone yet.
