Alright, here we go:

1. Good tie-back to the intro - giving souls to items you cherish gives them power too. Soul = power. As much as Rudo's gloves are his treasure, that umbrella must be really important to Engine too. Now, why is Rudo able to give power to whatever he touches, as it seems? Well, gloves. Maybe all the power his gloves have is for giving power and nothing else? That would be a good balance, without just making Rudo OP or "special breed" or "naturally talented" or "all in his great bloodline".
I like this system so far, btw. It makes our future Givers distinct, but is not as random as most series, in which people have power.

2. So it really is a floating city above, huh? Now I wonder if there are more then. And Engine seemed to imply, that sometimes you CAN reach those cities, sometimes not. Do they have some kind of bootleg technology to launch themselves to the sky for example? Is there some very high place (like that dark structure in ch. 1), from which you could reach the city, when it lines up with it? I wonder...

3. It seems like common folk don't know what are those monsters and how exactly they appear. I kinda like it more, than having an explaination right away. Something makes me apprehensive about this - like maybe I won't like the explaination at all xD I probably just worry too much, since so far I'm really enjoying the story.

4. Human trafficking, maybe canibalism or some ritualistic shit confirmed with those few Mad Max-esque jackasses. And their group (maybe they're a part of bigger group though) already heard of or met and captured one Skyperson before. I don't want that person to be Rudo's father though - I'd like to expand it all, have our worldbuilding wider :)
