Well this arc has gone very dark, I should have guessed though as it's been pretty not afraid of topics. I also appreciate they implied rather then outright showed (Too many series use it as a bad excuse for tiddy showing). It also shows why she's so broken. What can I say I like the characterisation in this series so far.

I thought jinki came to be because the owner took really great care of it? Kinda annoying that a bunch of these special jinki just come and pop around.
I really hope we get a good explanation on this, it's weird how they hardcore setup how difficult it is to have a Jinki to begin with and now we have all these what I assume are artificial ones and it cheapens them a little.

Isn't that shoe jinki one of the "Series" set? The same set as Rudo's. Knowing how powerful Rudo's jinki is, I think it's safe to assume that it doesn't need to be taken care for a long time for it to be that powerful. My best bet would be there's someone out there with an ability to make powerful jinki from the get go. That or The Series is the first few jinki to ever exist.

the angel is the same dude who bumped into rudo and took regto's book from chapter one. the book's cover had the symbol of the series so regto was really important. hope we get a backstory on regto in the future. i think the angel also framed rudo because he wanted him to get sent in the abyss for some reason, maybe because he has one of the series. really cool chapter and a lot of questions we don't know

I wonder if Amo's gonna end up with Rudo and the gang
Usually when an antagonist is defeated/turns to the good side and starts talking about smth important post-battle, a higher up kills them instantly for saying too much. Can't confirm it'll happen but seems like a death flag to me

I imagine some Jinki has more "care" given to them that they gain a will of their own.

Just like the knife Jinki in earlier chapter.

Yes and no. They did explain that some chapters ago, but I'm having trouble finding it. After you're a Giver, you can also use somebody else's Jinki, an object already classified as Jinki. It's property will change though, due to having a different owner. For example, Amo uses smell, which ties back to her backstory and abuse as well, while the dude was going to "kick the angels to death with them".

Same thing with Remlin - a pen was already a Jinki, in somebody else's hands it turned into a paintbrush and with her, it's a tatoo needle for example. It IS a poorer example, I know, because she can make her Jinki into various objects, but I'm sure you get me.

Alright, so this chapter establishes many things and hints at the others:

1. We're going to see even more fcked up shit from now on. Urana-sensei tackles many hard topics and we're in a kind of post-apo setting, so it's to be expected. I'm now just waiting for human cattle, as it IS a prevalent thing in many ofther post-apo worlds and would be just as messed up as what Amo endured.

2. It was quite a bizarre "divine intervention" by our angels. They didn't come there to kill the dude, so I'm a bit relieved about Legto. Didn't really want him to be some terrible scoundrel as well. They really just beaten him up, maybe even unintentionally, because they only attacked when he was about to. Probably really just wanted to take the boots off of him.

3. It seems like they're kind of keepers for precious items, maybe exclusively concerning the Watchman Series, maybe not only that. They make sure a right person has an item, that it's not polluted maybe or used in a way they don't want, by wrong people. What made Amo qualify as the right person? Who knows. Maybe that terrible abuse? Maybe that's what angels want - to give those items only to tortured souls?

4. If we try to connect it all, the book might've been a part of a set, not just ABOUT the set. And maybe Legto was not the right person to have it, by angels' standards? And since he didn't want to give it to them, he got killed? Might be the case.

5. Since the angel only gave Amo boots "for the time being" and she's supposed to give it back (or they will take it back, more realistically), that might be the case for everyone. Maybe those items are supposed to flourish and develop in hands of correct users, before being used for something bigger? Some kind of reckoning, like second coming of Christ etc. It does feel very religious altogether, not just the angels, but this whole ritualistic theme.

6. They ACTUALLY fly! That's how they can go between Heavens and the Pit. Is that a mutation? Ability? Blessing, Jinki, whatever? Are they even human? If they're angels, who is a god? I'm feeling the good parts of Fire Force here :3
