Might be just me but the final pages kind of reminded me from that scene from Indiana Jones where he just shoots the guy (after displaying his sword skills) & resumes his adventure. I wonder if there is a law/taboo where guns are banned since she had to be sure there would be no one else around. Thanks for the chapter.

Fun story about this: In the original version of the scene he's supposed to use his whip to knock the sword out of the guy's hand but they kept having to re-shoot that scene for various reasons. Unfortunately it was really fucking hot out and ford was already sick. It got to the point where Ford really couldn't do the scene and they were already over time and over-budget, so they came up with the shooting scene to save time (which ended up fitting his character a lot more anyway).
