@Blackkid121 fights for the succession for the throne were always present., even among competent and not-douche-bags rulers.

I've never understood the fight for succesion crap that old monarch systems used. They are already power drunk so why don't they just divide the power between the siblings. One would be the "ruler", while the other siblings handled affairs of the state. Killing each other over a seat and crown that doesn't even do most of the tasks that run the country seems like a fruitless venture.

Yeah as if. Youre telling me the only princess of their country is going to go alone with no guards and just a single carriage across the forest of monsters towards a possibly enemy kingdom? Hahaha what a joke. Even strong royal figures would still be accompanied by countless guards.

Wow, this is one of the first manga's that actually succeeded in negotiations with monsters instead of showing them as bloodthirsty dumbasses that only run away when only the leader is left. Good shit, good shit indeed.

Wolves hunt in packs!

You'll ne'er hit them swinging blindly!

@Commenter : She was introduced as the "Second Princess"... which suggests there is a "First Princess" somewhere.

Ok, slightly miffed about a group of wolves being called a "flock" and a "herd". It's called a "pack". But, no harm no foul. Still good though.
