The mangaka struck gold with this specific challenge. It's almost classic shounen. MC has a flash of inspiration from an outside source and is using this newfound inspiration to beat the "antagonist." Of course, this is all going to blow up in his face (or more specifically, on her back).
People are complaining about the trashiness of the manga, but…of course it's trashy. The entire manga is an obvious hentai premise. Just read it for the laughs and awkward boners. If you expected true literature, then you're the idiot. Granted, the manga is definitely trash. But I like reading trash sometimes.

Incest has easily demonstrable negative effects, while homosexuality doesn't (except for certain social issues, largely stemming from repression and fear of social mistreatment and stuff like that, plus higher prevalence of STDs due to sloppy use of protection). In terms of cousins and such often more distant family connections, it's mainly the issue of inbreeding, which is a very real issue. When it comes to the immediate family, people you grew up among, psycho-sexual issues start to rear their ugly heads.
That said, porn is porn and who cares? Stories where it's normalized, however, are just plain distasteful and potentially even dangerous. You can't help who you love, that's true. That doesn't make it right.

@boldmonkey the risk of manifesting a genetic disease isn't very high unless inbreeding continues for multiple generations, couple that with the fact that the chance of close family members falling in love with eachother and giving birth to children is very thin, and when that happens, the chance of their children to also fall in love with eachother and giving birth to other children is even thinner.
Shaming incest while (somewhat) giving a free pass to homosexuality sounds like double standards to me, It's either all ok, or none is ok.

The risk of genetic disease is high enough, and the more you normalize it, the larger the chance it continues for more than one generation, as those who grow up in already incestual families run a higher risk of themselves engaging in incest, the same way that those who are sexually abused as children run a much higher risk of becoming sexual abusers themselves, as it shapes their sexuality (among other things).
Shaming one while not shaming the other is not a double standard. Homosexuality and incest are two very different things, despite both being aspects of human sexuality. Homosexuality is not incest is not sexual assault is not pedophilia is not sex addiction is not bigamy is not forced marriage is not etc. etc., despite their shared sexual denominator.

@boldmonkey Don't go and mix sexual abuse in there because whether it was incest or homosexuality, we are only talking about the cases where both parties agree to be in a sexual relationship with each other, and no the risk isn't high enough, because even if BOTH parents had a defective gene that would cause a serious disease (which is not always the case), their children would only have 25% chance to inherit it from them.
And if a higher possibility of inheriting a genetic disease (that may not exist in the first place) is all it takes to make shaming a form of human relationship ok, then shouldn't we also shame marriages where one or both of the parties actually have an inherited genetic disease (like Sickle cell anemia) regardless if it was incest or not?
