Right now the demon frost knight subconsciously loves Clarice.. but I’m not so sure about Clarice ‘s love being genuine. Clarice has put 200% of effort on maintaining her relationship with the demon frost knight. She is ambitious, has emotional intelligence. It’s a lot of work in Clarice’s end.. it’s almost a Stockholm syndrome but Clarice is making the best of her situation. She’s almost forcing herself to fall in love with the frost-sama..

This is the narrative that Clarice is telling herself, but it's so obviously a lie. It was true at first, sure, but it hasn't been true since, like, she found out that Frost-sama is a woman. That revelation seems to have made her reconsider things about Frost-sama and, in the process, her feelings changed and now she can talk about all the little things about Frost-sama that make her love her.

You might not expect it, but he can be quite cute sometimes, you know? Like how he stuffs his face while eating like a little kid... or how he throws tantrums while playing chess and such... And he always polishes off the lunches I make for him. The more I learn about him, the more I realize he's a gentle and genuine person.

This is her actual feelings leaking through. Love is in little things like this. It's always so much more genuine when someone points to things like this for why they love someone than grand things. This is why Violet was unconvinced when she spoke of Frost-sama's strength and nobility, but, when she said this, Violet became convinced that her love was genuine and Frost-sama was tricking her.

I look forward to Clarice going so deep into her own little world talking about how wonderful Frost that she slips and leaks the truth about her gender. I wonder if lesbian relationships are frowned upon in this world.

It's possible the dragon was a manifestation of the Black Knight suit, however Chapter 7 pg 7 shows a Black Knight facing off against the dragon. Whether this is the previous one or Frost is still up in the air, I give you that, but I have a feeling that the dragon was a separate entity at the time. Violet is at the moment an unreliable narrator because there was some trauma that colored her perception of the events.

Hm, yeah that's fair. I'd forgotten that in that chapter I figured Frost had already donned this suit, and the previous knight was donning a similar-but-different suit (because of how similar Frost's suit looked to the dragon), though we see here that she gained the suit as she cut it down.

So, not too sure what the connection is, but I still definitely get the vibe they're connected.
