Let me guess: They met when they were younger and the FMC was lovestruck from the very beginning, but the dense MMC forgot all about it and now we're going to get 50 chapters of "nah, there's no way a popular, pretty girl could be into me. I shouldn't get so full of myself." denial until the series gets cancelled and they leave the actual confession to the waning pages of the final chapter.

Meanwhile twintails girl will also like the MMC but continue to tsun-pine for him the whole way until she confesses at a mid point, gets shot down because the MMC "doesn't understand what it means to love someone" and then reflects on whether things are different for the FMC before concluding that he can't figure that out and puts it out of his mind.

Decent art overall and I like the fishing premise, but the first chapter felt a bit overloaded with familiar cliches, and a few panels looked off to me in terms of perspective and facial proportions. I checked another manga by the same artist and the art there feels much more consistent, so now I’m wondering if this series has more assistant involvement or some other production difference.

Also not sure if I missed something in translation, but the thug scene felt really abrupt - "You're troubling her, as a fellow fisherman you're being a nuisance" thugs run away scared lol. Still curious about where this manga will go so i'll give it a few more chapters.

Edit: Keep reading everyone. I've read up to most recent Chapter 6 and the art improves alot around chapter 3. Although still abit of generic romcom comedy slife-of-life plot/cliches.
