Kids get teased about who they like and they don't like that. Even adults tease them. Every been asked "Is she your girlfriend" in a teasing voice? So they feel uncomfortable sharing their real feelings and emotions. That's what the editor was doing by the way. Teasing him.Rant incoming just don't read:
Are we really going to have a fucking "Were you trying to sex up your editor (my friend) on the floor in the middle of a restaurant" misunderstanding arc? Why would she be surprised to see them together at all? She knows the editor. She fucking referenced her for the job!
On that note, why the fuck is the MC so adamant about not liking his assistant? It's been pretty goddamn obvious.
Reading manga is so tiresome sometimes. Why do so many manga rely so heavily on the same tropes and the same plot points?
Don't consumers in Japan ever get tired of this shit? Or is BigManga in leagues to squash original thought? I mean, I know Japanese culture is all 'the nail that sticks out gets the hammer' bullshit, but these are creatives. You'd feel like there'd be a little more creativity across the bunch. I feel like 85% of romcoms I read are the same fucking storyboards just with different characters and premises. My fault for being addicted to this crap, I guess.
And here i'm waiting for a decent MC, maybe someday... I don't really care if he is low self esteem loner as long as he has some backbone.Rant incoming just don't read:

I highly doubt it's going to be a misunderstanding thing, given she literally says that she knows he's not interested in her, while she's right behind them. Chill, mate. LmaoRant incoming just don't read:

I think it's more the editor said he only had eyes for his assistantIts more normal for the MC to not want to ruin his professional life with drama than it is for the editor to be a going on and on like that. The editors the weird one here constantly prying and mentioning it over and over and over.
This better be misunderstand bait though and not actually a misunderstanding because I agree that would be sooo stupid.
