@elon-chan i dont know why its brought up in this case, but from what i understand the law in question is in reference to two teenagers dating; one being a year or two older than the other and thus at risk of statutory rape charges if their relationship advances after one becomes an adult.

im not clear on the specifics and i believe theres an upper limit on the age of the adult, and iirc theres a similar law in the west, though i cant remember if its just specific states in the USA or in europe somewhere.

@Elon-chan I think the law was misquoted in this case. I just did some digging and there consent has a "limited by relationship" clause, which he definitely fits into. They don't even have a "romeo and juliet" (close in age) clause to protect a couple if one is no longer under age and if both of them is underage, they both can be charged with statutory rape of the other.

Limited by relationship: younger partner is deemed able to consent to having sex with an older one as long as the latter is not in a position of trust or authority, or is recognised to be abusing the inexperience of the younger one

This is starting to feel like they're forcing yabe's rejection of his feelings just to pad out the chapter numbers. I hope I'm wrong but it looks like him finally confessing to her will be the last chapter and we won't get anything from after they become a couple. Which totally sucks because I'm way more into seeing the couples interact post established relationship rather than the build up towards it.
