I’ll be honest, I disagree with him on the outfit he chose for Riko. I agree with the principle, but the one she ended up with looked a bit too « try hard » to me, like it almost scream « I am 12 but trying to enter a bar ». I think the top he originally had in hand would have been perfect (maybe not black though), with a mature, but simple, straight skirt (not too long, not too short, that one could be black). More of an « office lady on a day off » vibe.

I’m not entirely convinced by his choice for Yua either, but for that one I’m not sure I know what would work better… I almost agree, but there’s something lacking. But I can’t put my finger on what.
Yeah, I think the idea behind Yua's outfit was to try something really different from her usual look, but it just wasn't quite right. It's difficult to figure out when you can't even see the colors.

As for Riko... she definitely looked like a kid trying to get into a night club lol.

On a side note, Otaku's outfit... it evoked in me a feeling I can only describe as "triple homicide chic".

Honestly, Otaku's outfit didn't fit him at all, both literally and figuratively. While I'm certainly not a fashion guru, the outfit the girls picked for him is something I would've turned him away from. It might've worked better if it was more form fitting.

What's with Yua's bra on page 7 though? She seems to be just out of the shower in pajamas, so that's supposed to be a sleeping bra; any actual girl sleep in that kind of lacy bra? I think not.

Agree on both points. Principle for both of them are very sound, but execution is not. I get that it's to contrast with the cloth they came in, but this is like it is going too far on the opposite end also.
For Riko, maybe sleeveless shirt and fitting mid calf pants for her? Feel likes her short hair kinda gives off tomboy/sporty girls vibes that could fit well with it.
For Yua, I think it's a little too baggy and long? Maybe if it's sleeveless or very short sleeves and give her chiffon cardigan might do? I know she was sooo revealing before, but you don't have to cover her all the way up like that either. She's gorgeous, so she should show off; using light chiffon to make her skin kinda visible, but not really might be the sweet spot there.

Ooooooh! Yeah! I would need to see it to make a real opinion on it, as I have aphantasia, but both sound real good on paper. :O

I would love to add a shawl, and hold her hair up with a barrette.

i always wonder why these fashionless romcom MCs have to wear their entire school uniform when they have nothing to wear. just drop the blazer and tie and it’ll look pretty decent for an outing.

Why did a bunch of wanabee fashion contest judges decide to rant in this forum?

Is showing skin actually considered mature? Isn't maturity with fashion more about learning to carry yourself better with what you wear?

Or am I looking too much into it... Prolly the latter lol
