Unless the girls showed clear interest on their own, it's understandable. They already helped plenty in the creation. Dragging them to the Comiket against their will would have been a bit much. If they didn't want to come out of their own volition, then it would have truly been exploitation of them as poster girls.

you're totally correct, but i still more or less had the same reaction as op because it's weird imo that they didn't even ask if they were interested in attending whatsoever, even though they at least showed enough interest in the subject/nerd shit in general that it's totally reasonable to think they might want to at least visit casually; particularly after the sudden attention that was drawn toward the fact she collects not-dq slime merch...

They all did spend many hours working on the doujin, though. One might assume they would have talked about the Comiket as well, since the whole work was for nothing but that event. Perhaps the girls indicated in no way whatsoever that they would be interested in attending. But who knows.
