This chapter was just cute. Like everything in it. I can't even blame Otaku in the end. His "Is she interested or not? F this it's too confusing back to anime." is actually pretty on point.

I wish for a polygamy ending cause I don't want anyone to lose, but given the semi-realistic feel that this story has, it feels extremely unlikely. I think an Ijichi win would make for the better outcome, cause Seo and Amane can always stay otaku bffs, even if she loses.

I don't think it's a waste, cause it gave Amane an opportunity to show off how badass she is, and the aftermath was also pretty fluffy.

Seo is his name, and unless I missed it earlier (which is entirely possible) this is the first time we’re hearing of it. The two of them managed to make this a fun date for both pairs, even though neither of them knew it would be a doubles thing. Amane realized that Ijichi would probably go on the offensive, so she took the initiative when the opportunity presented itself. Because of that, Amane is now in the lead when it comes to getting close to him.

Seo is coming to her house, Ijichi can’t say she managed to get that out of this date. Amane pushed through her comfort zone, showed initiative, and got what wanted in the end. It’s hard to do, and it’s fairly rare to see in manga, but Amane managed to pull it off on their first actual date.

Props to her, she’s probably read a lot of manga where situations like that arise where neither side makes a move, and she knows that if she follows suit, she won’t be getting anything out of it aside from the experience. Now she has something concrete, something to work with, if she can pull it off properly she should be golden. Hell she should be able to get into a situation in which Seo will both recognize her in a romantic sense, and be willing to become a couple.

Now if Amane will have the courage to pull that off is another thing entirely, let’s not forget she’s an otaku too, and she has trouble communicating as well as expressing her emotions. She’s called the ice queen for a reason, it’s entirely unintentional on her part, but it’s still something that happens because of her inability to properly communicate her emotions to others.

Author is really commendable for this, really love how things were executed, it's wholesome in manyways.

Kinda love the fact that despite having less things in common with MMC, Ijichi still manages to close their gap almost equally compared to Amane who has a common ground with MMC.

Hoping that atleast author could pull off a wholesome harem ending (not necessarily one with actual marriage) but maybe something similar, kinda anxious of him picking only one.

OF COURSE HE DIDN'T HEAR THE ONLY IMPORTANT PART. Of all the tropes in romcoms, there are two I especially despise - completely avoidable misunderstandings, and chronic hearing problems acting up only when convenient for the plot.

Maybe read Horimiya? The guy isn't exactly an otaku, but he sort of fits the bill in the sense that he's secretly stylish.
