Exactly my thought. He is now his childhood friend in a helmet and his friend is Kaiji as a housewife.
They both pass under Endou and the surveillance team and will meet somewhere else to switch
clothes later (probably at the famires where helmet guy works at).

So that's it? Well, it would be boring this way. I guess that Endou will realize and stuff will happen.

I don't think it's the helmet friend, rather the helmet man is the decoy that Kaiji let them believe he is so he can leave. I suspect he either disguise himself as his own mom or maybe he just goes out when everyone is rushing to get the helmet guy.

I know, that on top of excusing someone who was exactly in Kaiji's old disguise then saying "I definitely won't let you get away", while Kaiji totally gets away makes me face palm a little. Endou please! He has no reason to think Kaiji knows helmet guy but I think he should have maybe sent one of his men after him in his car to really make sure it wasn't Kaiji. That all said, I mean, he... is totally sleep deprived right now so I'll accept he's not perfect.

Doesn't even need to be his friend. Just offer up a good offer to buy his helmet and be out of there. And honestly, Kaiji following that plan would be even more risky, just assuming they wouldn't check the guy with the helmet. A more thought out plan would be to let him leave as normal for a day or two, make sure they let him pass. Then after it is safe he makes the switch.
