I don't think Kaiji is gone already. My guess is that his mother got a neighbor to agree to help him by letting him move to that neighbor's apartment, and then when Endou moves in to break into the apartment, he'll bring most of his team with him, and Kaiji will use that opportunity to escape.

We know his friend was disguised as the old lady, no one else could have done that and he has the same facial features. Since Kaiji's friend is gone and someone left in his friends motorcycle helmet I'm honestly sure Kaiji's already gone. Endou thought of Plan A and Plan B but not Plan C!

I'm betting that Kaiji went to Tamotsu's apartment and convinced him to let him stay there for a bit. He could slip out in a disguise while Endou's group is raiding the apartment. He could have impersonated Tamotsu, but Kaiji doesn't know how to drive a motorcycle and he's too paranoid to do it without a license anyways.
