I have a habit of imagining the usual scumbag nobles in isekai manga suddenly being forced into hardship and have to overcome it by themselves. Like a redemption arc. It is weird, but the thought of those annoying characters becoming a genuinely good character after makes me really happy. Well, rarely do some of those isekai manga do that anyway.

It's also important to keep in mind this isn't meant to be taken seriously at all.

If it was, that demon attack would have been all kinds of WH40K, with portals to The Warp opening up everywhere, half of the helpless NPCs either getting slaughtered by the dozens in only the most grotesque ways possible, and the other half getting perverted into demons themselves.
