looking forward to the day Sylva stops obsessing over the plot and keeping Charlie at arm's length because "Oshi", and starts treating the world he's living in and the people around him as ....the world he's living in, and as people around him.

You know the priest is suspicious because he seems good at his job and not selling children to slavery... Yup thats the norm in isekai.

Though I gotta say, I hope hes good even as a "monster", since he is doing a good job, keep doing a good job.

Suck the blood of ten people? Any random people? That sounds odd. Just two families from some small countryside village, and the vampire turns into a real powerhouse? Either vampires are extremely rare or that explanation wasn't correct. Otherwise vampires would rule the world.

Well also:

1) He has sunken cheeks + eyebrows that are drawn in a certain way. 100% villain once the glasses come off, just add fangs
2) He leaves the children to go out into the city by themselves because he has to avoid sunlight
3) Every religious figure is evil in almost all manga, not just in isekai genre

He's so far portrayed in a way kind of similar to the dude who was trying to revive his dead daughter by making a chimera in Full Metal Alchemist, I think right after the first arc :pepehmm: a very nice, and otherwise well-meaning person, but has been made deranged in some way and ultimately a tragic character. My guess is that this guy hates what he has become

Damn that dog story was so sad, poor dog.

And the slavery is the norm in isekai, sure evil religion is the norm everywhere but slavery is mostly isekai. Relevant cuz this is isekai, even if no slavery yet... YET.

Knowing this kind of story, that's not going to happen.
