I would probably insecure about that too if I dated a younger guy. I'd be scared that he's ashamed of me or that he'd think I'm an old wrinkly hag (even if I'm only in my 20's)

She was depicted as what, mid- or late-20s when they met? Maybe around 30 at most? Japan's really weird about women around the age of thirty being treated like old ladies.

@mlow44 it's old asian traditional thinking that women should married before 30s i think + i read in one manga long time ago that old Japanese belief peak of beauty for woman is early 20s. Even my older family member (not from Japan) keep saying that women should have kids before reaching 30s

It's a pretty universal belief that women's beauty peaks in late teens/early 20s. And yes, a woman should probably try to have kids before her 30s, as complications start rising drastically (much more difficult to get pregnant, for example).

Not that there's anything wrong with people who love older women, but it is what it is.
