Game suggestions for beginners?

Hello,

I'm looking to play a game with a friend, but he has almost no experience and struggles with basic controls. Starting him with Skyrim might be a bit difficult, right?

I think Minecraft might be a better fit. Are there any other easy-to-play games for beginners?

Minecraft and Terraria are pretty fun to play with friends but not sure how that would be for beginners.
Maybe you can try to have fun while learning about the game.

I think Soul Knight is pretty good once you get the hang of it after a few games. There's tons of stuff to do and they keep adding new content. Now is a pretty good time to play because of their ninth anniversary and other events.
