I love all of her asides about work and relationships throughout this account of cancer treatment. I know her cancer wasn't the most serious kind, but it really makes dealing with it feel less terrifyingly world-stopping. Like, of course you keep living your life? As expected of her, though.
If I ever have to deal with cancer in the future, I'll probably take the news better than I would have without reading this series, haha. As somebody generally more inclined to spikes of anxiety when confronted with the unknown.
